Title: The Perpetrator
Summary: It’s Uchiha Uzume’s first week in the Konoha Military Police and she’s just made her first successful arrest.
Rating: General Audiences
Notes: This uses worldbuilding from Dreaming of Sunshine rather than Naruto canon.

Uzume and Amano are my OCs, who were originally created for two or three scenes in a yet-unfinished fic. They then somehow got sucked into wafflelate's fics, and... just took on lives of their own from there.

This fic takes place about twenty years before the Uchiha Massacre, shortly after the end of the Second War, when Uzume and Amano are around 17 years old.

Massive thanks to the Shisui Agenda for getting me to actually finish this and helping to beat it into shape for posting!

“Tokimi,” one of the detectives on the night shift with her says in a choked voice, “your daughter and her friend are here.”

“...Did Uzume say what she wanted?” Tokimi asks, checking the clock. It’s late — after two AM. Earlier, at dinner, Uzume said she was planning to meet Amano at a bar. That they’re showing up here and now…

Tokimi really hopes she’s not going to have to arrest her own daughter, especially since it’s Uzume’s first week as an MP.

Hi, I hope other people sign up! Well, I know pepperdoken has, but that would be a pretty small contingent.

If you're considering DW and don't know where to start, a good resources is dreamwidth-help!

Here's some basic info:

• This is a community or "comm" and you can kind of think about it like a blog that runs 100% on submissions. And anyone can submit!


• "Friending" on DW basically means you subscribe to someone's feed (meaning, you sign up to get their posts on your reading list, which is like a dashboard, kind of.) and also let them access your journal.


• If you subscribe but aren't allowed access you can only see their public posts.


• If you subscribe to this comm, anything anyone posts in it will show up in your reading list.


• All posts have a comment section with nested comments. God I love nested comments.

Here are some very basic rules, although I expect the first two will be very familiar:

• Teen/PG-13 rating. It's fine if your DW has NSFW content, but the comm should stay about the same rating as DoS does.It's just not for us.


• We assume blanket permission for further transformation! What this means is that if you post something we really love, people will probably write sequels, missing scenes, and generally expand on your idea. Possibly right there in the comments.


• Anon commenting is on! Mostly because I assume most of us don't have DWs yet. Please use it well and, if it's not too much trouble, consider signing your posts. Anon commenting may go away in the future, or only be turned on for certain posts.
