Summary: Madara loves his youngest brother, Sasuke, dearly enough to fight the world for him, even if that love isn't returned.
(Sasuke just can't deal with losing his whole world again.)

Madara loves his brothers.
That is, in Madara’s mind, his defining trait. Or at least his driving trait. Day by day, he gets more powerful, which means more people have to listen to him… and fewer people want to. But that doesn’t matter. Power is the means to an end — protecting his little brothers — and those outside of his family needn’t matter to Madara. They don’t. He doesn’t need the love or admiration of the rest of his clan. He has his little brothers.
Which is why it hurts Madara so much that his youngest brother seems to hate him.
